The Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind, A tour-De-force Attempt

Eternal sunshine of the spotless mind: Something which has never been found, mysteriously invoking thoughts or rather pulsation of emotions which in its totality constitutes the human being. The film explores or rather approaches the audience in a new way which other directors failed to recogonize.

Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind: As the name suggests, it is the victory of a spotless mind which has never been found, but has been giving sparks which explodes later changing the course of time, man, and everything. Afterall, mind is incomprehensible for time, space, and events.

The director attempts to approach the emotions from the human psyche in such a way so as to lead the spectators to a tour-de-force.

Moreover, a must watch entertainer which has been waiting with its eternal sunshine since the starting of reel industry for the spectators to get bathed with sunshines and rainbows.

Thoda sa Roomaani Ho Jayen - The Musical

Class has a distinction of its own. Film making is not an art of editing, acting, dancing, screenplay, all the other important things alone. Film making should be born from a concept or rather the concept by which the film is connected by means of one rather than many. I say the concept because it has become a trend to produce or make films which copy some other director living in other part of world directed. But since the film field is so vast and many times faces crisis, we cannot say about you dont do this this is unethical stuff. What I am asking here is to build or make a film with something new in it and at least some content in it.

Natwarlal aka Dhrushtadyumna Padmanabh Prajapati Neelkant Dhumketu Barish Kar. A con artist and a dreamer who sets off the dynamite in the life and family of Binni Rai (Enacted by Anita Kanwar) and finally by universal law (what has been set into motion from a point will reach the point in order to nullify the effect of that change) the change takes place in him.

The film is an adaptation of the English Play "The Rainmaker" and is directed by the coveted director Amol Palekar.

The film is about a family in which Binni Rai resides. To be said the functionality of the family is more or less cracked with Binni Rai still being a tom boy and not getting any marriage proposals. With the draught in the area, the situation is worsened. She likes the collector who came to the town, but the collector who is a divorcee does not want any lady's involvement in his life. Her father is upset of the fact that she is still no married and he is angry with people murmuring around him.

One day her father desperate to get his daughter married goes to the collector to invite him for dinner. This makes binni very happy and she decides to put the finest eatables on the table. At the last moment, collectors program is cancelled and he even gives a thrashing to Binni's youngest brother who remarks if he had not thrashed him, he would have considered him as a fine gentleman. The situation is worsened with the electricity going out.

This scene centers the entry of hero in an extraordinary way. Natwarlal aka Dhrushtadyumna Padmanabh Prajapati Neelkant Dhumketu Barish Kar played by Nana Patekar enters the house and with it he enters the mind of the other characters in the house as well as the minds of the audience.

He is a con artist who states the he knows how to make rain and also he is a dreamer who knows ride the endless possibilities of one's life. Though he is a con artist he suceeds in bringing the rain down (mystery) not only for the draught but for the minds of those who thinks that everything is hopeless.

This film can be regarded as a message to the audience stating that life always goes on and sometimes in life you have to be Thoda Sa Roomaani Ho Jayen.

Hell, A backyard story

Right between the distinction of class and class struggle, the category of dreamers exists. They dont do debates, they stay away from brainstorming between intellects, and they live in a place between heaven and earth. Since there has been no names for that place, I decided to call it hell. I mean what would be more apter name for the place other than hell.

If you are in a position where nobody wants you and everybody avoids you and the only thing you are good at is being used by others, then dont worry you are in hell (the dreamers paradise other than heaven). It would be like having a private hell of your own.

If you ask me where I would prefer to live in, then I would say

"To reign in Hell is better than to serve in heaven." As satan or Lucifer or whatever would have said when being thrown out or rather given a choice of being a slave for eternity in heaven or to reign in hell for an eternity.

A curious thing called "Life"

There are one hundred ways of stopping the habit of smoking. Most of them involves will power and the other most of them involves medications. Life of man under various circumstances can be limited to the maximum age of 100 (if lucky enough, now days, you get a chance to cross 60). For those who smoke half of there life is burnt into ashes or more precisely blown into smoke. But, how many of you have thought about the little, cute, lovely piece of paper and tobacco which are rolled for the sheer pleasure of mankind and is blown away or burnt away for the same. Here is a tribute for all the ashes that were spilled in the name of human nature.

I am a cigarette and that means life is hard. Oh yes, life is hard and to speak life is as hard as a nut shell. People think that we are a small pinge of tobacco and paper and smoke and we dont have life. Even if you are a buddhist and if you see your child smoking, you would say "Child this is wrong, this would harm you." But how many of those who speak of life in everything, in every speck of universe, and in every words have thought that it is we who are getting burned.

I was a born cigarette and my life will be finished before I come into terms with the reality. My final moments are coming. Life has got nothing to offer me and it would be like that way only for every cigarette.

Aah, the fire has started. Ooh, the sensation of getting burned is overwhelming. It would soon end. The pain will subside and I would become as light as air. I will be the part of a system once again to take revenge, a vendetta so old from the starting of our race. These will be my last words. And before my life leaves me my parting words would be please don't smoke not for your sake, not for the sake of your family, and not at all for the sake of a higher cause or purpose; but for the sake of my race and to free us from the suffering that your race have caused us till now.
